Basilio Lopez Bravo, president and founder of the Bralo Group initiated his industrial career / professional activity with the commercialization of rivets and riveting tools.
The constant business growth of this decade resulted in the establishment of the first own production plant in Fuenlabrada, near Madrid.
The first opening of a subsidiary abroad took place in October, 1992 in Lyons (France).
Always at the forefront in innovation, and with the aim of excelling our customers’ needs, Bralo began the manufacturing and commercialization of insert nuts.
Bralo moved its headquarters and production unit to a new building placed in the locality of Pinto, near Madrid. The new 12,000 square meters facility reached a production capacity of 2,700 million pieces a year.
The Group began its activity in Portugal with the opening of a new subsidiary in Sintra (Portugal).
At the same time, Bralo widened its production horizons with the creation of another manufacturing plant in Mexico.
Bralo Group was recognized by the Chamber of Trade and Industry of Madrid with the Export Prize of the year.
As a reward to its constant policy of quality and control, TÜV Rheinland Group granted Bralo with the ISO certification 9001.
Bralo Czech Republic joined the list of commercial subsidiarys.
The facilities in Pinto, Madrid were extended. The original factory was refurbished and a new warehouse was built next to it. Among others, the following new equipments were addedt: new cold forming machines; a new washing area; a new modern and completely computer-controlled area for packaging, labelling and palletization; a new 5000 m ² warehouse and an Innovation and Quality control centre.
Bralo obtained from TÜV Rheinland Group the VDA 6.1 certification, as a recognition of Bralo’s compliance with the European regulations on quality requirements regarding suppliers of the European automotive industry (Fiat, VW, Audi, Porsche,SEAT, Peugeot, Citroën, Renault, Daimler Benz y Volkswagen).
A new subsidiary was established in The West Midlands (United Kingdom).
Bralo inaugurated its sixth subsidiary: Bralo Germany.
Bralo obtained a new certification: ISO TS 16949, the referential norm for big automotive groups.
Bralo continued with the opening of new markets. Two new subsidiaries were inaugurated: Bralo Italy and Bralo Turkey.
During this year Bralo obtained a new award:the Prize XV Cedinox for its contribution to the development of the stainless steel material in Spain and also the II Prize of the Hardware and DIY sectors for the Quality and Innovation.
The foundations of a logistic system adapted to the strong pace of foreseen growth were laid out. Bralo increased once again its facilities in Madrid with the implementation of a state-of-the-art automatic system of storage and recovery (AS/RS) with the most modern control technology.
This new warehouse is 10,000 square meters and has a capacity of 5,000 europallets. The new high performance automatic system allows the automatic load of pallets, carts and containers using transelevators equipped with telescopic pitchforks and other devices to store the load in multiple depth locations.
The plant of Pinto, Madrid, became, with its 16,000 m2, one of the most modern factories of rivets in the world and turned into a technological model of productivity and logistic efficiency.
Bralo China was born. In November, 2007 a new manufacturing plant was inaugurated in Ningbo, at the forefront for its competitive and productive structure.
Basilio Lopez obtained an award from the Txema Elorza Foundation for his human values and his professional career in the world of the hardware and the do-it-yourself sectors.
